Rage rage

Rage against our dying light  

Rage against the machinery of this age
Rage against the unending history of slaves
Against spirit never getting center stage
And spirituality written off the page 

We are lost bats gnats rats
Soulless souls in consumer vats
Humans who have forgotten their name
Down to the utterance of humane 

So rage, rage
Rage against this endless night
Like a moth to the flame
Rage and rage, for shame!
