What an utter disgrace

This human race  

Oppression perversion 

Abuse and repression 

Stomping each other out   

Holler and shout

Gaping black holes 

From the meridians to the poles

 Are we but refuse to each other? 

Which call do we heed, and answer 

To which muse?   

Blissfully ignorant we cower, 

We don’t want to know 

Don’t want to grow –

Up – Wanting to reap, but not to sow.

I refuse.  

I refuse it all. 

I do not accept  

That this is all we are capable of.

I believe 

We were built 

For grace.
